TOPIC 1-13 Innovative electrolytes for high power devices

"After my Bachelor in Université Paul Sabatier I joined an Erasmus Mundus+ Master ( MESC+) with a scholarship from Réseau sur le stockage électrochimique de l’énergie (RS2E) providing me strong foundations in electrochemistry and materials science with an impressive mobility plan through Europe in different universities and institutions.

After my masters, my growing passion and interest in electrochemistry and batteries in general has endorsed me to commit in doing a PhD, and I could not have hoped for a better opportunity than a prestigious MSCA program. Our society is in urgent need of systems that could store consequent amount of energy in a short timescale. In that sense, my topic strongly emphasizes on this idea aiming to provide an innovative answer in connecting the bridge between fast storage similar to supercapacitors and high energy comparable to batteries to achieve high-power, high-energy batteries of the future.

Being fellow of Marie-Curie “Destiny” project provided me contact to state-of-the-art research done in Europe. Joining this project also involves experiencing collaborative work through Europe. My project consists of three groups in total from France and Germany, in which I will be spending some time during my PhD. This is very exciting and provides formidable experience rarely obtained in a PhD where you primarily stay at your institution. This mobility granted by MSCA will allow me to look at encountered difficulties under three different angles and consequently, teach me multiple methods in trying to collaboratively provide answers to our growing energy needs."
