TOPIC 1-4 New ionic lithium and sodium solid state conductors

The research is carried out in the framework of MSCA CoFund Program DESTINY named "Doctorate programme on Emerging battery Storage Technologies Inspiring Young Scientists". The innovative program enables a special doctorate training, where PhD candidates from various laboratories participate in an academia-industrial European research networks. They will have a chance to attend in-depth training schools in energy-storage sectors hold by top-notch partners in the fields.  My PhD research project is a joint program between laboratory LRCS, Amiens and a industrial partner Solvay, Paris. The project will be articulated on the design and synthesis of new ionic conductors going beyond the State of art, keeping the targets of cost, scalability, easiness of manipulation and performances at heart of the project. To achieve these goals, the focus will be done on an innovative class of ionic conductors and a rational design will be conducted in order to optimize transport properties, stability in manufacturing and operation. This optimization of performances will be conducted based on solid state chemistry knowledge for finding right anionic or cationic dopants and on a synthesis/characterisation loop.
