Karol Jagodziński

I’m Polish and hold two bachelor’s degrees – one in Fire Safety Engineering (2019) from the Main School of Fire Service, and another in Chemical Technology (2020) from the Warsaw University of Technology. In my first degree, I explored the explosive properties of coke dust, and in my second, I worked on composite ceramic-polymer electrolytes. I later joined the MESC+ Master’s program, where for my master’s thesis, I worked on modifying sulfide-based solid-state electrolytes at Umicore in Belgium.

Currently, I’m pursuing my PhD at CIC energiGUNE in the DESTINY framework. Being part of DESTINY has given me hands-on experience in advanced materials characterization, opened doors to an international research community, and boosted my visibility in the battery field. It’s been an incredible experience that continues to shape my career and scientific journey.
