Being member of the Executive Board of DESTINY, Patrik Johansson has a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry and is now Full Professor at the Department of Physics at Chalmers since 2016 as well as co-director of Alistore-ERI (CNRS FR 3104). His main scientific interest is in novel battery electrolytes where he combines understanding at the molecular level with battery performance. In 2015 he won BASF’s Open Innovation Contest on Energy Storage (100,000€) for his new ideas on Al-battery technology.
