Paving the way towards an autonomous battery manufacturing optimization:
a surrogate multiscale modelling approach
This is Dr. Utkarsh VIJAY, or simply UV, from LRCS, Amiens, where I worked under the guidance of Prof. Alejandro A. Franco and Prof. Mark Asch on the topic, “Paving the way towards an autonomous battery manufacturing optimization: a surrogate multiscale modelling approach”.
In today’s interdisciplinary world, my journey has blended experimental and computational science, from materials research to entrepreneurship (GoBudee Educare). These diverse experiences have come together to shape me as a researcher.
I am proud to have graduated with a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship under the DESTINY project. This program offers much more than academic growth. It builds both technical and interpersonal skills, and I am deeply thankful to the DESTINY team and the European Union for initiating such meaningful opportunities for students across the globe.
Over the past three years, I developed expertise in battery manufacturing optimization through digital technologies, combining physics and AI. With this experience, I look forward to translating fundamental research into industrial impact.
As students we may pursue one PhD, but the professors, teachers, and administrative teams behind us carry the weight of hundreds each year. A big cheers to all of them for shaping my journey from materials science to circular economy and finally entrepreneurship in the field of battery optimization.
A small message to early-stage researchers: choosing a career is often the easy part. Walking the path can be challenging. Do not hesitate to seek guidance. You are the CEO of your career. Invest in yourself. Be open, be flexible, be happy!
